1 America ? The Beautiful on Fri Mar 07, 2014 4:40 pm

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama ... Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama ! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

America? the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride,
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
abortion on demand.
Oh, sweet land of liberty,
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly,
poisoned by cocaine,
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away,
from the teaching of God's love,
and a need to always pray.

We've kept God in our temples,
how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core.
Appointing Godless Judges,
who've throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb.
But brave enough to kill a baby,
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry,
that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait,
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray,
seek His holy face,
and mend our evil way.

Then God will hear from Heaven,
and forgive us of our sins.
He'll heal our sickly land,
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
if you don't - then you will see,
a sad but Holy God,
withdraw His hand from Thee.

~~Judge Roy Moore~~

This says it all. May we all offer our prayers for Judge Moore to be blessed and for America to wake up and realize what we need to do to keep OUR America the Beautiful.

This was sent to me by a minister I went to school with a very devout Christian who has cancer and just received notice his insurance was being cancelled. He is clinging to his faith and I wish him well. He now feels death will come more rapidly, but through his God he prays for a peaceful end.

I think we all pray for a peaceful end of our life, before I do.I want to live life to its fullest.

Going out with a bang, and thoughts of a better place.

I know many believe in the hereafter and feel it will be a glorious place, I am just not one of those people, when you are dead that is it the end, in the ground you go and the sun still comes up the next day.

We all have our own beliefs, and are free so far to express them. I personally think there is a better place, than where we are.The sun will shine more glorious, there .. sunny

I will maintain my belief that I do not know if there is an afterlife, I have no way of knowing, or anyway of finding out, so I maintain I do not know. I'm not going try and kid myself into believing something without any facts to support it or reasonable cause to believe it. I think its safe to say that the majority of people who claim to believe in God and an afterlife are looking for an escape from the possibility that when you die its all over. Not a pleasant thought but one that should be recognized as the truth if nothing can give you reason to think otherwise. A belief is something you know to be true, because you have experienced or seen it firsthand, the proof has been shown, or reason to believe.

I have seen many miracles in my lifetime,I will probably see more.
I will continue to believe in a better place..
I will respect those who believe different.
Life is fragile.

Why may I ask do you keep making references to what peoples rights are and can believe in? Just sticking to the subject at hand would be the preferred approach.

Well gypsy, if you're happy I'm happy..

The subject is believing in peoples rights,God, hereafter, and other subjects.
That is the subject, I thought.
yes,I am happy. Thank you, Mark. I am only expressing my thought, belief,as others have.

I havent read the first post in this topic yet, but if its about rights I wasn't aware of that. The subject seemed to move to mentioning what 'you' believed, and not the rights of others to believe or post as they choose to.

I think it voices both. Good night Mark.
   I have voiced, enough.

Ok good night. For the record all religious beliefs are free to express there thoughts and opinions here

Good conversation religion, always been one of my favorite topics..  smile

oops pardon!!
my belief is not religion,it is God/Jesus. Had to clarify.

I would put that in the same category as religion, its believing in the unknown or unproven.
