Fresh jumbo shrimp on the grill with corn on the cob, portabello mushrooms stuffed with crab meat and ribeye strips grilling. We have a housefull already have coleslaw from just picked cabbage, potato salad and a pineapple upside down cake. I have three batches of fudge made, strawberry, peanutbutter and traditional chocolate. Later we are having a bonfire so the fixings for smores and hot chocolate are ready. Love a southern night.

HOMEMADE FLOUR TORTILLAS:

3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup oil
1 cup warm water

Combine all ingredients until it forms a dough. Roll into a big ball and take about 1"-2" pieces off. Pat flat with your hands or use a rolling pin. Put on a griddle on the stove and let the sides cook until there are lil brown specks.

Now on to finishing tacos and tortillas, this was super easy to make.

To SSC: I wanna put some collards and hocks in my slow cooker. Will this overcook the greens? If so,can I do the ham hocks first and then throw in the collards late?

Yes you can Moon do the hocks first add a little water and let them cook, add the collards after the hocks have finished cooking and flavored the water cut the collards in strips and cook on high about an hour.

Kids at the parades, so I am mass cooking gumbo, chili and homemade corn dogs, it turned cold over night so some good warm comfort is in order for the crowd when they return. Tomorrow is the final day expecting about 40-50 people to be here early in the AM before their trip to New Orleans, King cakes, cinnamon rolls, tatertot breakfast casseroles and gallons of coffee...
