Buy some fresh shrimp or some frozen ones in a bag will work just fine. You want them still in the shell. Try to get jumbos (big ones)

Then if they are frozen defrost them and put in the frig till your ready to cook them.

Then take a big pot and fill it with water, bring it to a boil, then add some "Old Bay" seasoning to it, add a lot you can't over do it, only under do the seasoning. Just dump a large part of it in the pot. Maybe 1/2 a normal size can. I'm talking about maybe 2 pounds of shrimp, just put it in there heavly.

Then boil the shrimp till they float to the top of the pot, then they are done. Don't over cook them it will make them tough. Its takes roughly 2 minutes to cook them.

Add some garlic bread to the plate, and some butter in a separate bowl to dip the shrimp in. Or you can use seafood sauce or both butter and sauce, Peal the shrimp and dip it in the butter or sauce, eat and enjoy.

I had that tonight. :)

ok i figured u were different, my mom dr could never get control on my moms cholesterol. she took meds and a strick diet, as i probably have said, some ppls body just produce cholesterol, and hers did which made her bypass not last, her tryglicerides were close to 900 one time, and always was super high, so high they could not break her cholesterol down to hdl and ldl , they got her bp ok but in her early years the dr she had did not control it good, it was her gyn and he just did not control it ,, , the cholesterol, was bad, and she was thins as a rail, well glad u can enjoy foods, so far i have ok cholesterol, my dads was ok, but i do sometimes watch eating organ meat like chicken livers, i do some but not very often since i know they have alot of cholesterol and any organ meat does, on her bp she should have gone to a specialist. welll i have said this before, i keep my bp good, even a tad low, but take meds for it,

ask jerry ur cholesterol cant be 65, ur good could or ur bad could, but total should be 100 and something, but under 200, ones good cholesterol is not in the test range parameters unless its over 45 i think or 40 but i think 45. good chol. is in range if >45 bad chol. is in range if 130< . both mine were close to 80 .once my good was like 25 and he put me on meds to raise it, but we finally decided the lab made a mistake, because we took me off meds and it kept going up, and he said it usually goes back down when u go off the meds but mine just kept climbing, so he thinks the lab made a mistake,
i forgot which is the good and bad, HDL OR LDL but as u know added together is the total, and they now use the ratio between the two. that should not be over 5. mine was 2 something ratio which is great. my good was as high as my bad, so thats good, my total was like 180 which is ok especially since half of it was good cholesterol..the good cleans out the bad, 20 years ago my total was 165, and it has hardly changed, i ate cow liver as a child , mother cooked liver and onions, but now if i eat liver its only chicken livers from kfc, i once as a child ate hog brains and eggs, but only once, lol,,a bunch of uncles and aunts cooked it , i think just to try it out,,,some ppl eat chicken hearts but i dont, i have ate gizzards but its been a long time, im not sure that organ meat, it is not soft, and looks like muscle,i know or think gizzards digest or grind up what a chicken eats, but its been a long time i could look it up but im not, loll take care

dont get cute, ur post was as if ur total was 65 , and i knew that could not be correct, so now u give the correct, about 120,, see what i said was correct, u did not say ur bad was 65 u said ur cholesterol was 65, when ppl say that it means the total, u did not break it down to HDL and LDL. so now we have the story,, even 120 total is verrrry good, thanks jerry for setting thing straight, lol

The Basics of Cholesterol

Cholesterol is a waxy substance found in the body. Having high "bad" cholesterol means you have too much LDL cholesterol in your blood. LDL cholesterol can build up in your arteries and prevent the blood from getting to your heart. HDL cholesterol is the "good" cholesterol. It carries LDL cholesterol away from your artery walls.

Here is some basic information you should know about cholesterol:

* Too much cholesterol in the blood, or high cholesterol, can be serious. People with high cholesterol are at risk of getting heart disease. This can lead to a heart attack or stroke.
* Only about 25% of cholesterol comes from the foods you eat. The other 75% is made by the body. Factors such as age and family history affect how much cholesterol your body makes.
* People with high cholesterol usually have no symptoms. But it can be detected with a blood test. These tests can also help your doctor predict what your risk for heart disease may be.

What Should My Cholesterol Numbers Be?

Your doctor knows best when it comes to your cholesterol goals, and he or she will be your partner in reaching them. National guidelines say a person’s total cholesterol number should be under 200, while 220–239 is considered borderline high, and above 240 is considered high.

National guidelines also provide direction on LDL cholesterol, part of total cholesterol and the main focus of cholesterol-lowering therapy. Having high levels of LDL cholesterol may put you at risk for heart disease. Generally, your LDL cholesterol should be below 160, if you have no other risk factors for heart disease. Managing and lowering your LDL cholesterol then helps to further reduce your risk.

If you have heart disease or diabetes, or risk factors for heart disease, your nationally recommended LDL cholesterol number may differ:

Be sure to work with your doctor to determine the LDL cholesterol goal that is right for you and your risk factors. Risk factors include age, smoking, high blood pressure, low HDL (“good”) cholesterol, or family history of early heart disease.

you were confused from the start, did u not say in a seperate post,i can pull the quote, ur bad was 65 and he wanted it down to 50 i think , now u say ur good is 65 ,, u said ur cholesterol was 65, i have never heard a person give nothing but the total cholesterol with out specifying if it HDL or LDL, that is why i said go get jerry to set u straight as u had to do on ur golf score that time, lol, ur article said LDL should be under 160, my blood reports will put u in the out of range if its over 130, . 165 does not give u much room to add the good HDL before it hits 200, but i will not argue that point, im glad Jerry got u all straight anyways, have a good monday, i think ur quote is ok but u got ur good and bad numbers backwards, i know u were posting late, its ok, take care,

you once here quoted a low golf score, and i said there is no way u shot that low, u had it down about almost where the pros shoot, so u later gave a different score saying u made a mistake after talking to jerry and he told u what ur score was, is what i was talking about, ur cholesterol was 120, that is good, when u said 65 u should have said ur bad cholesterol was 65 and it would have been more understandable, or use HDL OR LDL. 65 would have been just one of those, dont u have it in writing, i get a blood report, it gives the total and the HDL and the LDL and then the ratio number, and if any is out of range it puts the number in the middle of the paper so u can look down the report to see if anything is out of range, u did say that about ur golf score and changed it and said jerry told u what it really was, cant u tell when im playing but it did happen,
