1 Sour cream mashed potatoes with a twist on Sat Mar 27, 2010 11:30 am


peel and slice about eight potatoes,to cook for mashing

Enough Chicken broth to cover potatoes
do not salt/most time chicken broth is salty
can always add to taste after prepared.
add pepper
cayenne to taste
a smidgen of Garlic finely chopped,or powder

cook until potatoes are soft
drain save broth if you like for soups
mash with 1/2 stick of butter
add sour cream until the potatoes are the
consistency you prefer

serve with crumbled crisp bacon on top

tip you can substitute sour cream for blu cheese dressing instead
I love them both ways.
