I like SOAS. Here's a quick substitute. Take two hamburger buns and mash the four halves flat with a pan. Makes good toast. Take a package of "Jimmy Deans" peppered white gravy and prepare as instructed,but add cheese, cut up cooked bacon,crumbled sausage,or shredded ham. Lunch meat will do. Even SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM.......

My dad was Army.. when he came home, SOS was a nice meal,with fried taters/onions
beans of some kind~good eating ,,sometimes he would use hamburger meat/sometimes sausage
jeeze/////a long time ago, but beautiful.. because my dad was home

We had it using chipped beef in a white gravy served over toast..love that stuff !!

Yep, but they didn't have the little jars of beef so I improvised. That JD white gravy is HOT but good and easy.
