Not very surprising. "....the President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors." If the judiciary commitee finds cause to impeach, they will. (They probably will anyway) Finding him guilty is another matter. No treasom or bribery is alleged and offering legal advice pertaining to Fed court procedures is not a "high crime or misdemeanor". If lying under oath isn't punishable then offering questionable legal advice certainly isn't. However, the Republican Congress, not being insane Clinton-bashers,let Clinton off. The present Congress, being occupied by many extraordinarily stupid Bush-bashers,may ignore the law, and find Bybee guilty. Hateful lunatics do things like that.gypsy wrote:should he be impeached?
