1 ~!@#~!@# Vista. on Fri May 16, 2008 1:45 am

I just uploaded a 90 minute video I made here in Walterboro, burned it on a DVD, and discovered my 'puter wouldn't play it. Said that codec XXX bla, blah, blah was missing. ????? I Googled the given codec and found page after page of the same complaint, and get this, the XP programs superseded by Vista HAVE THE MISSING CODEC! I can find and download the codec (maybe), but that will require me to jump through more hoops than a circus chihauhua. GRRRRRRRRR

Sounds like you're having a conflict between XP and Vista. It might depend on which version of windows you have if it will play or not, becuase maybe the device you're using (camera) to upload the video to your computer is for Vista or XP 'only'. I'm not sure becuase I don't own any cameras or any of that digital equipment for uploading movies to my PC (yet). But perhaps you can download whatever it needs to make it play on your pc.

All my videos I've made so far were made with programs I have on my computer, and all the material I use for those videos were found on the internet and various places.

What version of Windows do you have?

I have XP.
